About Logan

I’m a recent economics graduate with a deep interest in labor and climate economics. With a strong analytical background and a commitment to finding impactful solutions, I aspire to work in think tanks, research groups, or consulting roles. As the co-founder of BallotWise, I’m passionate about civic engagement and empowering undecided voters through data-driven tools. My innovative approach in this project reflects my desire to make political participation more informed and accessible. My academic work also stands out—my undergraduate honors thesis, a pioneering study in an under-explored topic, underscores my drive to contribute original insights to the field. With a thoughtful, grounded perspective, I’m navigating my career path with a focus on contributing meaningfully to research and practical solutions in economic and political contexts.

I am socially conscious. I deeply value the enlightenment ideals of reason, liberty, and democracy, and will work to defend and expand them. I believe that the rights of self-determination should expand to economic systems as well. Governmental and economic systems should work for the people to ensure fairness and opportunity.

I am both creative and mathematical. I can go from a heavy mathematical course load and statistical analysis reports to writing stories and directing plays. I try to reconcile the two whenever I can. I bring mathematical thinking and precision to art, and creative lateral thinking to math. When I need to do deep analysis, I want to be sure that I not only understand how to use the favored analytical methods for the situation, but also think broadly and unconventionally about other paths to the solution. I have recently done work with analyzing data on citizenship applications to search for evidence of bias.

I am a student. It seems trite and obvious to say it, but that’s what I am in many different ways beyond my current educational status. I operate through a continuous cycle of first learning, then applying that learning. Academic study is where I have felt most comfortable for much of my life. I do not function only in academic environments, but instead use study as a way to indulge my curiosity. But I am at a point in my life and in my personal growth where study that is exclusively academic is not a functional path to that growth. I am seeking a new environment in which to learn and be challenged.
